I personally do not rate Warne as highly as he is rated by Australian.
This is why:
1) Just like it is difficult to rate a batsman the best if he does not perform against the best fast bowlers, for eg Ganguly despite all his runs or even Lara because Australians have had the better of him mostly, similarly it is difficult to rate Warne the best when his record against the best batters of spin was bad.
2) Most of Warne's wickets are bunnies that he'd get from England and South Africa i.e. Cullinan and company. England and RSA did and do not have ONE quality spinner in their country and they struggled against Warne.
3) Also, it is difficult for tailenders to not get out to a quality spinner so I bet
Warne has many of them in his pool of wickets.
McGrath was far better than him. So is Murali. Personally, I felt even Saqlain was better than Warne.
