Pakistan Sangeet Icon is a reality-based singing competition to be shown on MTV Pakistan, Indus TV and Gkaboom. It is a mega show made to promote exceptional talent on the nation’s biggest platform. The purpose is to give Pakistan a new voice and one powerful aspirant. Contestants are selected from all around Pakistan and auditions are done in major cities of Pakistan like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar etc.

Selected contestants are to perform in studio in front of three judges namely Ali Haider, Mikaal Hassan and Pappu, and eliminations would be done in every round. The judgement would be done through panel of judges, votes and audience poll (phone and sms). The show is aired on Saturday and Sunday on Indus Television at 8PM, MTV Pakistan at 9PM and Gkaboom at 11PM. The final winner has a chance to win One Crore Rupee contract.

Contestants must be citizens of Pakistan or permanent residents eligible to work full time. They have to be 16-28 years of age. Auditioning contestants must bring with them in the audition a valid proof of age and work eligibility, such as a birth certificate, driver’s license or a passport. Contestants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

why did they only have to choose two from Multan? there were many many good singers from Multan than those compared to Faisalabad.
and there was this one guy from multan, i don't remember his name anymore but he is the one who was wearing a brown pant coat i guess...he sang brilliantly well...both classical and doorie by atif aslam, he really deserved to be from one of the selected ones. I personally believe that the other guy who got selected was not better than him.

I think it is because Multan is not as big as Faislabad.

The best thing is that many sing Pakistani songs and maybe coz they are asking them to sing pop songs, but they are good.

yeah that guy was funny!!..."to kia sunayen ge app"..and he goes "song".....
moreover several contestants are not singing pop songs but are choosing to sing classical types and they seem to be quite good at it too.

yeah but they really had good singers there.

but I think the 2 they selected were not that good as many others. and the girl's singing was crap
