No, tabs aren't specific to guitar type. These tabs arent really the ones real music tabs that are used and tought in schools. these are the easy versions made up by rockers who didnt know the music theory.

Anyway so the only problem with tabs is that it doesnt tell you how to strum. so even with tabs it takes you along time becfore you figure out the song.

Yaar rizaaj bhai, My guitar is buzzing between the 11 and 13th frets. Its a Fender Acoustic. It seems as if the fretboard is caving in. What do you suggest?

@Paqui.. as far as the tabs are concerned they tell you what to play, but not how to play it. so its definately not gonna tell you whether its acoustic or electric. but if the tuning is the same on both (acoustic and electric) you can play it on both.

@obaidkazmi.. it surely means that play the 2nd fret on E string and not twice

@maverick.. it's not a big problem just try to hold a little bit behind the fret link when in that area. basically it shud be held that way all over the fretboard.

Fingering methods for classical music playing, and strumming. Now you can learn all of these lessons online for free or for a much lesser fee. For many people, learning from a guitar teacher is really hard but through online guitar lessons, you can be provided with animated images, graphics, demo sounds, and video tutorials. It is much easier to learn online as you can repeat your lesson again and again until you feel confident to move on. The learning process is enhanced online as tutorials utilize the different senses - sound, touch, and sight.

Just by looking at the Tabs, can you tell if the guitar being played is an 'electric' or and 'acoutic', This ofcourse assumes you have not heard the song. Does such a notation exist? Pre-Thanks :-D

Not always, You can never be sure. But yes, Sometimes you can see in the tabs, if it contains alot of QUICK notes, and alot of Vibratos and shreading then its def. a elctric guitar. And also if the notes are being played at a very high frest say about 17-20 ............Cuz most acoustic guitars have fret board till 16.

Plus if the chords used are power chords, its very likely being being played on a electric guitar!

Hope that helps.
