LAHORE: A meeting of three-member fact-finding committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) would be held on July 23.

Member of committee and Director Human Resources of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Nadeem Akram told Geo News that arrest report of Muhammad Asif has been received from Dubai.

The urine sample of Asif is cleared and nothing has been proved against him. He said a meeting of fact-finding committee would be held on July 23, which would review the report. Asif would also attend the meeting. Asif would be cleared formally after finding facts, he added.

tht will be one side relief fr asif,but his another case yet to be finish.acc.to me consuming nadralone is not bad thing,this drug is not like cocaine,which ppl r terming him as he insulted pakistan's name ,he didn't committed any big sin -wht abt mudering,harrasment of woman & rape's & illiteracy ,is tht not a big crime or insult fr pakistan.why is a person ban fr life in sports fr consuming it ,why not such ppl who commits the other offence are not ban for life in jail.

^There wasn't such a big media hype during Warnes case as well..

Unfortunate, but expected. I am not saying that he should be nailed. But there should have been some punishment to make him realize that such things are best avoided.

If he is really innocent, he must sue Dubai airport police for illegal and unfounded detention. If he does not, we will know the reality.

Of course murder/rape/etc r big sins but that's got nothing to do with a professional cricketer taking performance enhancing drugs! He should definitely get punished if he's guilty. It kills the spirit of the game. And yes , he DID commit a big sin and it's not acceptable at all ..

i knew he wud be cleared from DXB case
im worried abt this IPL controversy

i think the news article is assuming too much.. yes he was not tested positive, but he was still in possession... i think the "fact finding" committee will be held to charge him on that... the pcb are not going to goof on this especially since hes gonna get banned by the icc neway...
