Congratulations to Nasir Jamshed
Congratulations to Nasir Jamshed for playing a beautiful knock
Although he deserved that 100 , however though it was an improtant confidence building innings for Nasir.
I hope this innings builds him into a good opening batsman that Pakistan can rely on for the future.
As Ramiz was saying he has worked hard and has improved as you people know that this is not the first time Nasir Jamshed has been picked for first eleven.
All the best for Nasir in making a permanent spot for a dependable Opener

it is actually nearly impossible to get a big score as an individual in this kind of heat
it was an awesome knock

I saw his couple of shot selection. he was very confident, playing those clean shots. i seen him in past and he has worked hard on his batting skills. I hope he keeps playing like that in future games inshallah.

you know it took us about 8 years to finally prepare salman butt into a decent opening batsman..who started to perform consistently....and then just as when he was matured into next best opener after saeed anwar we lost him to spot fixing saga.
Now i hope that Nasir Jamshed can take that place that was once held by saeed anwar....I am not sure how soon he can mentally take that responsibilty....but if we were willing to give slaman butt 6-8 years then surely we can stay patient with jamshed as well.
Hopefully inshallah he turns out to be our missing link

He did play some good strokes. Couple of things I would definitely take into the account that the Aussies were drained out thru their rear ends due to this heat so they were perhaps not blazing all guns. The bowlers looked to have been playing in a swamp rather then a cricket ground. They were totally out of juice so their bowling was perhaps a little below par.
Second, today it has been proven yet again that DRS is a MUST for Pakistan otherwise, Jamshed would have been gone at 12.

isey kehte hian bakree nay doodh diya voh maingniyoon bhara, instead of praising an awesome batting performance u started with finding faults to minimize the effort, just look at 1st 10 overs and see how he played or u saying that aussies so physically unfit cant even bowl initial 10 overs in full rythum?

Ali I wish for Nasir Jamshed is I hope he doesn't end up a bust like Ahmed Shehzad and Shahzaib Hassan. Already seeing that he's better at temperament and shot selection but at the same time I won't just start equating him to Sehwag and Gayle. After these tours, PCB should send him right away to Saeed Anwar and Aamir Sohail to learn more and get further better at shot selection.

Ahmad, Saeed Anwar would probably be impossible becuase he is now invovled in trying to do dawaa to muslims and non-muslims: like Moulana Tariq jameel's method. Also he already stopped anything with cricket after his daughter's death.
Aamer sohail, yes. But depends whether he is still unhappy with PCB officials or not.
And on the account of Ahmed Shehzad, I believe : he was a very bright prospect but I think he had some dicipline issues and mouthing-off argumentative attutide towards the Tour management led to him being dropped.
Shahzaib Hassan might have just slumped into a bad patch.
I think now Nasir is in form and he needs to be given a long run like salman butt was gaurantteed.

nahi, he is not finding faults in Nasir. What he presents are very valid points, something which pakistan also needs to be vary of incase pakistan has to field second.
In the presentation ceremony when Misbah was asked : " was it a good toss to lose"
Misbah replied with releaved smile saying that it was a lucky toss to loss as Misbah was hpoing to bad first as well. Which seemed Misbah was implying indirectly that aussies's wrong decision proved very helpful for us.

Yeah, that's right about Saeed Anwer but even a sit down consultation session could be very helpful. I do remember PCB calling Saeed Anwer to have those small talks with batsmen before World Cup. As far as Aamer Sohail, I think if Nasir Jamshed personally asks him, he will not refuse. The kind of a puller he is, I see more of Aamir Sohail in him then Saeed Anwer. To add that he's not very wristy (at least what we've seen), like Saeed Anwer or Salman Butt were.
And yeah I agree on discipline issue with Ahmed Shehzad, and bad form of Shahzaib but also what I saw was Ahmed Shehzad & Shahzaib just threw their wicket away a lot of times too. Just like Imran Nazir. It's a different thing you get out on duck, bad day-tough luck...happens to every batsman. But you are set on 30s and 40s and kabooom, out of nowhere you threw away your wicket. This is something our opening batsmen have to refrain from doing. Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq are adapting to that and are going in right direction. Opening batsmen should do the same. But both Ahmed and Shahzaib had their fair share of opportunities in past, now it's Nasir's turn and I hope he capitalize on it. Enough of one inning wonders, we need some consistency especially at opening. Good to see 4/5 starts by Hafeez and Nasir were 50+...definitely encouraging.

ahmed shehzad's been screwed over because he has an opinion....which in our 'senior junior' cricket culture is a no-no....one bad tournament and that was a world cup...it was good enough excuse to kick him out which was unfair.
kudos to nasir jamshed though....great job..

He needs to check his fitness there is a huge question mark on his fitness. He gave away his wicket when he was on 97 & he did the same when he was on 46 just threw his wicket away.
He is the future of Pakistan & he is in out standing form but he seriously needs to check & work really hard on his fitness.

on 97 he was out because he got cramped while playing the shot, that 97 was as good as it gets. So don't agree dere,
He does need to work on his fitness like many others, but its insane to judge fitness levels in such heat and humidity.
