So afridi should be captain because he hitted a six out of the ground and because of that six hafeez, misbah and yk should be axed,
u r such a retard brain fart, how do u think of something like this....mind u Misbah has hitted even a bigger six than Afridi here in SA, but please stop posting foolish ideas about who should be captain and dont put ur analysis from just one game, grow up
PS: Congrats to Afridi

If hitting the most sixes is the criteria, also keep these in mind.
1. You also did miss to highlight that he has the lowest batting average a player in the top 40 players who have hit the most sixes. Bar Wasim Akram.
2. Only Wasim Akram has a lower average than him in the top 40 six hitters category. Wasim Akram was a legend with the ball.
3. Furthermore the other players who have played as many matches than him and are on the same list are Sachin Tendulkar, Ponting and Jayasuria.
Shows other countries value players who perform rather than who are just capable to hit sixes. Only their legends play so much cricket, otherwise your replaced by someone new who can contribute to your team.
Shows how long he has been a liability. Utter disgrace ...

300 sixes is no joke, he could have done so much more with his career but we love Afridi for what he is, he has won pakistan alot of matches on his own, don't think any player have done that, hence the most man of the match awards for any Pakistani cricketer

Yup, love or hate but 300 sixes is something which every one should consider, even Afridi's haters (like me )

yes, great achievement but seriously, he's as overrated as david beckham if not more....such a low bat avg. and he batted up top for the longest time, his bowling has tailed off quite a bit, he doesn't get the same drift or rotations on the ball, he's older so his fielding is also a little less effective....basically he was supremely talented but never developed at all....and as far as his leadership skills are concerned...they were decent but given his style of play there will always be a question mark as soon as his form dips...and he is 35....that is not really a longer term solution

i agree afridi is overrated, been a one-trick pony his whole career at least with the bat. his bowling has improved leaps and bounds though. but gotta disagree about beckham, i don't think he's overrated at all, the man is a quality footballer.

david beckham was a decent footballer....that was it...his branding was great and this is coming from a life long born and raised utd fan.....couldn't really play in the middle as he didn't have the touch and tricks, his one-trick was crossing it in, paul scholes is infinitely more talented yet much less popular....becks didn't have a top drawer touch, his freekick conversion was mediocre at best....no pace, no amazing dribbling...I am sorry but that is not amongst the very best IMHO.
