Desi players in England team

What's up with all the desi players in England team like Shah, Monty, Solanki, Ali etc...are the local boys not interested in cricket anymore?

Well its because most of the english population is more focussed on soccer.
Also there are a lot of immigrants living in England.

as mervik has said, there are many south asian immigrants living in England and they clearly have a strong interest in Cricket. Therefore, it is not surprising to see that reflected in the team as well. It is a very good thing that players like owais, solanki etc. have been given a chance to represent england.

Owais is looking impressive. he looks confident and is not afraid to play his shots. He has had trouble securing a place in the england ODI side. With the big guns away, he has a chance to prove why he should remain a candidate for a position in the england 11.

I have been in London and it was clearly evident that there were more Pakistani and Indians than any other foreigners from other countries. In fact, the most foreigners (at least in London) are Pakistani..Now think you the rest how much there are overall..

Yes, I do. Although I feel he has one of the best minds in cricket. Almost every comment he makes while commentating is sort of what I am thinking at that moment. So atleast for me he has a great cricketing mind. No surprises he is called a great captain despite being an ordinary player.
