I have never been this dissapointed or gutted in my life when it comes to Pakistani Cricket. A series against australia that we should have won after 11 years but we gave it away just like so many matches in the past.

All the senior players in this team let me down big time, including Afridi and Misbah, now I know there are many fans who want to overhaul this team and bring in the young guys but honestly that won't help one bit.

Our Problem is not the talent or selecting the wrong group of players, our problem is the mental weakness that each and everyone of our players possess.

Couple of Positives from todays game that I noticed were Opening Partnership, hafeez scoring few runs and ofcourse Saeed Ajmal bowling but also the way Shahid Afridi handled himself after getting injured and gave it his all while bowling with one hand with no follow through, yes he went for many runs and had a dissapointed series but these are small things that shows a player is willing to give all and everything on the ground.

Regardless Pakistani Cricket is and always will be my first love and InshAllah we will perform much better in the coming series.

dude the main thing was we scored too little runs, after the start we got 280 shouldve been on the cards, but we have players like azhar ali and misbah who just can't accelerate!
that hurt us big time and cost us another series!

I agree but blame should go to Afridi/Umar/Kamran as well because there job is to play aggressively and none of them did there job, all in all blame should go to everyone rather then just putting everything on Misbah or Afridi.

Don't worry, you will be even more disappointed in due time. this is the nature of Pak Cricket.

India series is coming up, i suggest you do what i do now, just watch the highlights of the game that Pak wins. Other than that, you will sit in front of a tv and boil your blood!

Believe me, been doing since i was 11 yrs old following Pak Cricket till last year.

I really stopped following Pakistan cricket for months. It's funny that when I do kind of watch again it's the SAME problem as before: can't score runs at the end of an innings.

I'm not surprised though. We have folks like Azhar Ali, Misbah, and Asad Shafiq. And terrible "hitters" that will never leave Pakistan cricket in Akmal and Afridi.

Oh and what a superb decision by Misbah to take Ajmal out of the attack when he had FIVE overs left. Especially when you consider everyone knew dew will become worse as the match progressed.

Don't even let me get started on the lack of talent coming through for Pakistan. Absolutely ZERO fast bowling talent and no blue chip prospect. Nothing to see here guys.

I cant believe ppl blaming azhar for not scoring quick?

Team management is responsible for this debacle. Coach and selection comittee, To be fair once u lose the toss it was always gonna be uphill battle.

Poor captaincy by Misbah I was surprised to hear first that he is going to attack with 4 spinners, I didn’t like the idea & prayed it was not true but unfortunately it happened. I would had love to see Anwar Ali in the team.>>
There are so many things Pakistan needs to learn from Australia patience & when you hit a SIX you hit them clean & hard like the Aussies did, 4 huge SIXES & all of them out of the ground, let us all slap hitters Umer Akmal, Kamran Akmal & Shahid Afridi who couldn’t do anything. I will ask you what exactly the coach been doing? U mentioned temperament, so here are my qts

1 - Have the batsman temperament improved?
2 - Have the fielding standards improved?
3 - Have the shot selection improved?
4 - Have the team strategies improved?
5 - Have the team combination improved? I am deliberately not talking abt selection itself because the squad is selected by selection comittee by playing XI is done by coach and captain.

We have now lost 3 ODI series in a row and indian series will be white wash on current form. In Asia cup we faced on good team i.e India and got our asses handed to us, we barely squeezed passed by BD, same BD which not even a month ago were beaten by us in a dominant fashion.

Lets see how we do in T20 and more imp T20 WC if we lose that chances are lot of the current crop would be either retiring or shown the door, then coach would be saying oh we have new team and the cycle will continue.

Whatmore might be a good coach, infact a great coach but I don't think he can do much with Pak team, its like woolmer one of the nicest person and a very very good coach yet we got our asses handed to us in aus against aus, barely evened out series in india, out of WC in 1st round.

Pak need domestic coaches, infatc what pak need is not a coach but a good team manager, call it head coach under which we have 3 coaches, batting, bowling and fielding. A good team manager/strategist couple with young captain and good selection team. All should be pakistanis, under pakistani management Pak has done relatively better then under foriegn coaching staff.

And plz don't talk abt professionalism etc etc, cricketers are product of society yahan kaheen professionalism nahi hai so don't expect them to be professional like western players.

First I don't see why we had only 1 fast bowler and the others only spin bowling.
And the foremost reason is as you said senior batsmen let us down once again, like afridi and I still cannot understand why Umar Akmal play like a retard from time to time. That's why I don't follow cricket that enthusiastically anymore, *sigh* .

I was and i am still a firm believer that once ajmal picked up those quick wickets this match was ours given had ajmal been allowed to stay on. A couple of more wickets and we would have been in business.

I just hope ajmal keeps performing like this. Ajmal was the highlight of this series for me.

And I hope Hafeez doesnt repeat this mistake as well...and lets ajmal bowl his full 4 overs in the upcoming T20 series.

Rameez Raja needs to take Misbah to one corner,sit with him and discuss this through with him. Misbah has been doing this to ajmal since 2011. Jeez ! there is a limit to such madness.

the bowling was ok the batting is a worry the score should have been 260 that would have been easy victory.Plus fieldimg missed chances plus micheal hussey was out but they didnt refer it.Needed more bowlers 4 spinners is to much the omission of gul bites in the ass now he would have been effective at the end unlike azar ali and shahid afriddi went for 62 runs awful bowling.

they rather play 4 spinners then give anwar ali a chance. What a bunch of twats. Won't support this board until the selection process is fair and not racist.
