Indian Batting Heroes or just a hype............
I always wondered that although Indian midddle order has been considered
realy strong and reliable for last ten years or so, but my question is that
have this so called strong middle order which comprised of
Dravid,Ganguly,Sachin,Laxman, has realy won somthing of real siginificance
for their country.
Well my answer is No!!
What do u think guys??

At one point they were number 2 in test ranking and unlike previous Indian team they started to win aboard and they were the only team which consistently challenged the number 1 Aussies and they were the first team to win a test and ODI series against Pakistan in Pakistan....and also won a test series at England...these are quite a few that came straight of my head.....and what do you think as significant win???

They might not be good anymore, but they definitely were good in the past.

They ofcourse have talent, skillz, fame and potential but I think consistancy is their biggest problem. I mean on any given day, in form and attacking Indian batting line up can cause so much trouble.
Often they don't impose much threat or signs of danger but you certainly have to keep an eye and control them right from the start.

I agree....they are not good anymore atleast in the past 2 to 3 series....this Australian series will determine weather they will be persisted or not in future test series.

it's the same case with us, we considered Boweling heros but now we aren't that good in Boweling department. Same is the case with Indian batting, they were once great but now not so much.

Most of their victories r due to their upper order, if their opener works then their whole team works but otherwise only Dhoni is relieble in their middle order.

I think at present they are better in ODI's and a bit down team in test matches because of the downfall of their old players Middle order batsmen. So I think India's test batsmen are more hyped rather than having real metal in them.
In past they were better Test team but below average ODI's team.

100% true! Beside that Pakistani batting is also weak. For years the openingproblem hasn't been solved. Than we have to rely on the middle order which has a few hero's. If the middle order collapses than the match is mostly lost.

2 test series victories at home against australia is pretty much it. Although other players like azzuradin and sidhu played crucial roles in the first of them as well.
