Shoaib Malik, Umar Gul, Mahroof, Keeraratne, they all bowled better than laanti akhtar. Time to drop this drug addict, over weighted asthma infested old fart and bring in the young talent Anwar Ali.

And I dont know what this guy is sucking on (nor do I want to ) but Akhtar bowled well in the first match especially considering its his first match back for Pakistan in a while and he bowled okay today too, I guess you were sucking too hard by the 20th over where he only allowed 5 runs in it, which is like a maiden in Twenty20 over in the last over of an innings.

And he hasnt played international cricket for 10 months so what the frig do you expect?

Ya for sure it was just Canada and you're right we have to keep it in context. And you're right about him looking rusty and a bit bulky but I remember another time in the past when he first came back after long layoff he looked pretty fat but by the time he got a few international matches in he started looking slim again. I mean look at all the running he does just by his run up so it is inevitable that he'll lose some weight lol.

By the way, this thread creator says crap like how he didnt bowl any good deliveries today (which is false in the last over bowled a few yorker lengths) and he says how he got Jaya out on a bad ball, well hello Akhtar also always gets hit sometimes off good balls even. Thats the way it is for every cricketer. A wicket is a wicket, a century is a century.

LOL akthar needs to shed some pounds. that being said two of his catches were dropped, hes still ballin tho cuz.

the only reason I like Akthar .. even right now with his issues with weight... He seems to still clock at 146-148 KPH with ease... while all the others bowlers who were fit were bowling their heart out and only hitting 140 KPH... so he obviously has the speed and he is worth keeping in the side if he keeps performing... and if he shows that he is working on his fitness...

why wut will pindi express do??????? this is wut he thinks dat akhtar should not be in the team so respect his opinion atleast hes not bashing someone like others do.... however akhtar needs a bit of time and he needs to lose some weight but if hes fit and healthy no doubt hes the best bowler pak have but he needs to be fit which is very rare now a days.... however no reason to kick him out hes a matchwinner

Akhtar is doing Great. This is like his 3rd match in the last 6 months or so. I haven't seen any fast bowler bowling so Great with such less Match practice . hats off to Shoaib.
