He will get his chance once Inzi retires. He is a young kid who good potential so he should make himself better by playing well in domestic season and once there is a spot for the taking..it will be a good fight between kamal, raza and iqbal.

Faisal Iqbal should be a 12th man. He can always play if Younis, "MoYo", Inzi become injured (khuda na khwasta) or if Pakistan wants to rest some of thier middle order batsman(men)

Well I don't agree with Akmal opening but Adam Gilchrist has done it for a long time before moving down the order when he got older.

Plsu there are tones of examples of that ...Alex Steward was again one of the most prolific run getter ...Pkaistan it self had Tasleem Arif who has also scored double century against Australia

gilly has only once in his life opened in tests and tht too in an emergency situation. u cannot expect akmal to open the innings and stand behind the stumps all day.

well tht was in an emergency situation, no one is doubting his capabilities to score at the opening slot but i dnt think he can open the innings for pakistan and then stand behind the stumps all day. thts just too much

He has eight fifties in 12 Test matches. He was out once on 99 runs. He has a better average and more fifties then Iqbal and Farhat.

how many of those fifites were in loosing cause bcz a lot of his fifties come in my mind wen pakistan had already lost the match and were just scoring some runs for pride, he does nt has the ability to convert fifties into 100's. farhat is an opener so can't really compare him with farhat but faisal iqbal looks a much better prospect then kamal. faisal is young, only 23 years of age and has a good technique and temperament. i would say faisal should be our reserved middle order batsmen

ya i know that's too much for the keeper and spacially in the test matches well than maybe let afridi can open and he can play down the order
