Pak investigation team submit report on Woolmer case tomorrow
LAHORE: Pakistani investigation team, who went to Jamaica to investigate in the murder case of Bob Woolmer, coach of the Pakistan cricket team, has now finalized the report which will be submitted to the Government on Saturday, May 5.
According to a member of the Pakistani investigation team, DIG Investigation Mir Zubair Mahmood, the report will be presented to the federal secretary of Interior Ministry, Kamal Shah.
For this, he has left on Friday for Islamabad where he, along with Kaleem Imam, additional director-FIA Islamabad, will submit the report to federal secretary of Interior Ministry.
On the request from the Pakistan Cricket Board, the Pakistan Government had decided to send a two-member team for investigation in Bob Woolmer’s murder case.
The investigation team arrived in Jamaica on April 10 and there in collaboration with Scotlandyard and Jamaican police investigated the case for two weeks up to April 26.
Mir Zubair Mahmood said that the Jamaican police and the Scotlandyard officials fully cooperated with the team during the investigation.
According to the sources of the investigation team, various aspects of the murder case were discussed in Jamaica. Most important was the involvement of bookies in Bob Woolmer’s murder.
