Now qts is should we go with another seamer or batsman? If its batsman i think faisal will get in cuz he is most expirenced and if we go with bowler i think Junaid should come in over sami?

yeah maybe we should stick with tried and test untill an unassailable lead is achieved!
i would like to see sami get wickets though if drafted in!
if he gets a five fer or more his avg will come down for sure!

sami is not a good test bowler i wiould like junaid as he brings variety of left arm and given SL left hand batsman could be handy, Cheema has variation of slow ball and he push across left handers can bring in to right hander remember the hard time he gave to trott? So has to be gul junaid and cheema with 2 spinners or 2 pacers and 2 spinners with 5 batsman?

I say drop abdulrehman go with 3 seamers in test we cant afford to have one bowler having bad day, with ahfeez thats 2 spinners with YK can pitch in so can azhar and go with 6 batsman, as hafeez yk form not good and taufeeq umar hasnt had good series against eng now he coming after such long layover

so he comes as opener or no.3 and everyone else drops down? Wouldnt that make us go with 4 openers with depleted middle order?

Hafeez.....an opener???? ahhhhh...yeah right!!

I see what you are saying but honestly bring a natural opener to play that position. Someone who has shown potential in domestic cricket and is not a make shift. After all this is test cricket, here we need the specialist more than in any other format.

Waisay bhi jis haal main HAFEEZIYAT jhatkay le rahi hai...usey opening se ijtinaab hi baratna chahiye!!

And even then who is the 4th opener? Azhar Ali. Well he's not, he's a make shift one. He should play at his usual position at #3.

Afaq, Toffee, Azhar, Younis, Asad, Hafeez, Adnan and rest following. Nothing wrong with Dogar but just think Afaq is a better bet than Dogar.

Hafeez not gonna be dropped he is captaining and he opens always so him and tauqeer being regular opener. Azhar always open in domestic and thats why slotted at no.3 in test and given chance to open in ODI. Afaq is opener by trade. I have np i was just asking how the position would be i.e everyone dropping one position down or u gonna put afaq btween azhar at no.3 and YK at 5? I see u want hafeez above adnan akmal so basically occupying misbah spot i dun think wil work cuz thats crucial positoon if he is failing on top he will fail there and prolong the tail

Or would it be easy to just replace a middle order batsman with another middle order we have ayub dogar and faisal in squad?

Ideally, I want Hafeez dropped in batting order. It's better than risking 5/1 or may be more. He lacks a sound technique of an opener.If he play old ball between 35-80 overs there's a better chance of him producing some runs. I put him right before Adnan because I think that's where experience is needed. He had experience just is going through a rough patch.

But there is no doubt that he has a very horrible technique for an opener. He should move down in tests and let the natural opener, someone with proper technique take over. Otherwise he'll keep giving inconsistent performances. I haven't seen much of Afaq Raheem, plus intl cricket is a different ball game all together anyways but I'll still give him chance hoping that he fill the need of proper opener.

Azhar Ali is in good form, I won't mess with his spot. #3 is the most crucial spot in the batting line up and it's very important to have a solid in-form batsman there. Younis @ 4, Asad @ 5 and Adnan @ 7.

Faisal and Dogar has to wait.

express news reporting either dogar or faisal so i guess they have decided not to change opening partnership
