Ideally, I would like to drop both Hafeez and Taufeeq, because hafeez is clearly stuggling against kulasaekra and has performing poorly in the last ten games or so and same is the case with taufeeq. But I know it's not possible since Hafeez is the v.c, and was just captain in the last game. So we should drop taufeeq and promote Azhar to open with Hafeez.

i think taufeeq should be kept in and hafeez should make way.

on the other hand the more practical approach and most likely what is going to happen is dogar will get replaced by misbah, which is a shame cz he was stuck to playing a defensiv game here and we didnt get to see him florish!
if we do drop taufeeq then i still say move hafeez down the order so we dont start at 0/1 or 20/1 cz that sux and puts pressure on the rest of the team. the question comes up who will open?

Taufeeq also hasn't performed really well after that 236 against sl in UAE but I also think he is still better than Hafeez. But dropping Hafeez is not possible since he's the vc. I agree with your idea of promoting Adnan Akmal to open but I don't think they will take that big of a risk.

stop wasting your time guys..one change for next test will be Misbah in and Ayub out...if i was a betting man, I wud bet on pakistan winning the 2nd test by a big margin.
