ISLAMABAD, Apr 27: Pakistan Cricket Board has accused former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar of influencing ICC decisions and demanded change of guard at the cricket committee of the world governing body.

"It is no secret that Pakistan is not very satisfied with the working of the former Indian captain as head of the committee playing and they feel the time has come now for a change at the head of this committee," a PCB source was quoted as saying by 'The News' today.

PCB is miffed at rejection of its all the four nominations for the job of match referee by the ICC Cricket Committee, headed by Gavaskar, which instead appointed former Indian fast bowler Javagal Srinath earlier this week.

The source also implied bias as it said Srinath, interestingly, was on the Bowling Action Review Group (BRG) which heard the appeal of Pakistan pacer Shabbir Ahmed against the 12-month ban imposed on him for having an illegal bowling action.

Pakistan's rejected nominees were Colonel (retd) Naushad Ali, Talat Ali, Pervez Sajjad and Hasan Jameel.

Pakistan has suggested former Test captain Majid Khan, also a former executive of the Board, as a strong candidate to replace Gavaskar as the head of the ICC Cricket Committee.

I don't have any problem with that suggestion. And everybody still remembers how 'rightful' his decisions were about the nominations for the Super Series against Australia.

Gavaskar is a CORRUPT fellow,remember they found currency from different countries in his locker and he couldnt explain.
Gavaskar is a PRO ENDULKAR Selfish person who cares only for Endulkar and himself,bashes England and Australia but shamelessly goes there on every chance to distribute prizes and get money for those shows
he got stopped in MCC for lack of tickets and still holds that grudge.

As waqar31 correctly described him, i like to add that he shows alot of patriotism for India while making decisions. The decisions regarding the match refree and the nominations for the super series and maybe more are a clear indication of the patriotism he shows.
