Sarfraz Ahmed showing some serious batting Sparks
KARACHI, Jan 17 (APP): Southpaw paceman Najaf Shah snapped‑up six wickets and keeper Sarfraz Ahmed scored a quick‑fire half century at the strike rate of 167 to set‑up PIA’s emphatic seven wicket success over Pakistan Customs in the fourth round of Quaid‑e‑Azam Cricket Trophy tie at NBP Sports Complex on Saturday.
Also today Sarfraz Ahmed scored his 82 at a strike rate of 95.
The wicketkeeper batsman has shown some rapid improvement in his batting.
This would put some pressure on senior Keeper Kamran Akmal, Sarfraz is moving up the ranks very quickly.
The young Sarfraz Ahmed has been averaging 43,33 so far down the order with a strike rate of 94.

We should definitely replace Akmal in tests. He can't keep against Kaneria.

Just one thing that I would wanna say about this topic. I agree that Akmal sometimes does bat well, but that doesn't mean he covers up for the dropped catches. He is a keeper and he is supposed to do his job properly. If they still want to keep him in the team, they should keep him in as a batsman and get a better keeper.

id rather have a wicket keeper that can catch a ball than score centuries....anyway akmals batting is rubbish...he performs in one game out of 20...and fans go mad...like he did against windies...how od u know sarfraz ahmad couldnt have done that... there is also another wicket keeper we have...Ali Asad or Asad Ali is his name...i always get confused..one is a aquality bowler..the other a wicket keepng batmsen....he was in our under 19 world cup team....he is an opener also...a big guy..very good...doing well in teh current tournament also...

Safraz NOW needs International Exposure , he has done the performance in domestic.
If he doesn't get International exposure , he won't progress more.

Sarfraz Ahmed for sure
Kamran Akmal has been going through a bad phase in his keeping..so we must not take a risk and play a keeper who is not really reliable... Get in Sarfraz for the next few series' and groom him..so that there's a healthy competition b/w him n Akmal.. Perhaps a strong back up fear can get the best out of Akmal..
