What Happened During the last match at Nehru Stadium, Guwahati (Site of 1st ODI)

Sponsored Links
This is what happened last time when a match was scheduled at this ground. Now if Pakistan wins that must be MUCH more upsetting so just imagine what might happen? Also look at one of the pictures about Dravid....funny how he had that sign last time and now he isnt in the squad for this series. This was during the India v England, 5th ODI, Guwahati, April 9, 2006.

Just before the game was called off, fans in the stands lit fires and threw stones

I think our public is so fickle too. Did you forget the way our public behaved when we lost to India?

who's having selective memory? you are just too shamed too admit that this has only happened in india uptill now.

never in the world you will see ppl cause destructive demolition exibitions inside the stadium during a match.....this happened in india in 1996 WC too when they were playing against srilanka in the semi final.

i specifically remeber 1996 becuase i saw those matches live.

when pak and ind were playing WC in 1996 (in india, i think the quater-final) and even though indian batsman were pilling up massive runs against pakistan in the first innings...the indian crowd still choose deliberaltely to throw garabge at waqar-younis (at fine leg or the long off boundary)....and not only at waqar , at other pakistan team members aswell....at one instance waqar (i think) got hit by a bottle and had to change his feilding position slightly....and it was so
obvoius that all the cameras were starting to focus at that moment and it was showen repeatedly with disgust by the commentators even!

only one time indian crowd was dead drop silent when shoaib blasted back those indian batters back to the pavillion in two consective deliveries....only at that time the whole stadium was so silent that it seemed that shoaib had strangled the whole indian crowd single handley!

even i was amased....cause i was expecting an atom bomb to bedropped from the skies by the indian air force!

such is the pathetic nature of indian crowd that is reflected in sreshant now!

if sreshant wont have been a cricketer today.....what would he have been?....yyeah exactly.....your typical die-hard indian spectator

and now you say .....ppl have got selective memory!???! you indians are having an amneasia actually

Maybe this will refresh our memory a bit..

About 60 supporters of Shabab-e-Milli - a youth organisation linked with Pakistan’s largest Islamic group, Jamaat-e-Islami - chanted “Death to Inzamam,” referring to Pakistan captain Inzamam-I-Haq, and “Death to Bob Woolmer,” the team’s coach

My point being: We fans from Pak and Indians are same when it comes to cricket... stupid fans.

lol..we are talking here about stadium incidents. Not what happens in some little corners in Pakistan.
These people on the streets just want nothing but attention.
