This passion of fans tells you something when you compare it with today's cricket. Quantity has taken over quality. The game of cricket has become a two dollar whore type prostitute. It's being played so much that fans now hardly give a crap. Booze, music, and cheer leaders are used to create that (fake) enthusiasm.

These were my college days, 1 Gigabite hard drive was unheard of. 486 and 586 computer processors were called super computers. We were learning DBase, Cobol and Fortran in those days. And this game brought one heck of a frenzy among us friends who were watching this game together.

I don't have very vivid memories of this match but I do remember this last over very well. I don't know I was may be 6. I don't remember Javed Miandad's sixer, but this one was my equivalent. One of the best game I've ever watched in my life, something which get me so riled up about Pakistan Cricket. This was the game which sketched the never fading Waqar Younis's memory in my mind, he instantly became my favorite cricket of Pakistan team and till this date he's my favorite fast bowler of all time. Growing up I only used to watch game to see Waqar Younis just bulldozed the opposing batsmen by his signature reverse swing yorkers. This was the game where it all started. Also this is the same tournament in which Aquib Javed took 7/37 vs India in Final and Zahid Fazal was fainted at 98*. I do remember these two ladies as well, pretty much all patriotic songs after this match have there visuals. Back in those days, Cricket was played with passion and spectators interest was tantamount to the intensity of battled inside the field. Good ole' days.

The legendary voice of Iftikhar Ahmed....definitely memorable.
