ya lets drop malik, ridiculous. ... This is the difference between top teams and us, they will stick with there best players and not drop them after 1-2 bad games.

Just fyi, Malik has been struggling for some time now.. Look at his ODI stats.. he even struggled throughout the series against Australia. However, he has experience in his favour.. so it's highly unlikely they'll drop him.

he was also our 2nd best batsman last time where as Salman Butt was just as bad in 07 as he is now so you know with Malik its just form whereas with Salman its talent.....Malik has usually done well against Lankan spinners and I would back him to get in form against them

Malik not performing for one series means he should be dropped? he is easily the most consistent ODI batsman in the side after Yousuf left...

Go look at top teams like Australia did they drop Mike Hussey after the bad series he had?

You may be right, but all I'm saying is that if his poor form continues then it might in the end cost us a game. In the match against NLs he was really struggling to play his shots, and in the end that made the difference between reaching 175 as opposed to 200.

Am I in favour of him being dropped? No, I'm just saying it's a major concern.

Malik is great fielder , you cannot drop him.

The thing is we dun have many of them

Unfortunately we dont play our great fielders. Fawad alam is the most agile fielder after malik and he is capable. We dont play him. I remember the dangerous fielding he has done in the past..its just amazing how he works in the field
