Other reasons:
Poor fielding..
Poor captaincy after Australia were 84/3 or something. just letting them have easy singles.
Dropped catch by Butt and missed run-outs

I still think Pakistan, overall, did manage to put up a fairly decent ODI score, it wasn't massively competetive for team like Australia in their own backyard, but had they kept things tight with their bowling and fielding; maybe results would've been different.
Anyway, it was a good 'warm up match'. Oh that feels better now.

we really had to get closer to 320 with the start we had. 50 more runs would have put them under a lot more pressure. i expected more from umar akmal, malik, and rana, even aamer. only afridi played well in the lower order. but 45 from 70 balls is too slow in odi cricket.
why do you guys like blaming yousuf for everything. we simply didn't set a big enough total, especially considering how well we were going at one stage.

you are a pretty biased prick....they were going below 4 an over after 15 overs and we had just given em 23 runs in PP yet Yousuf decided to keep just 2 guys on each side to save singles after PP....how does that make sense?? also Ponting got out and White came in there were still only 4 guys saving singles....white had to play one of the easiest innings of his life just taking easy singles from first ball....so dont tell me another 40 runs would have made the difference because it wouldnt have....they would have chased 350 with these field settings....and how come you didnt name Yousuf in the list of guys you expected more from when he did the worst??

bowlers did keep it tight, giving only 90 runs in 20 overs for 3 wickets.....its not the bowlers fault if there are no fielders around to stop defensive shots from being singles

We lost cuz of Mohammad Yousuf's captaincy. Wrong fieldset, he let Clark and White get settle with easy singles. I think Yousuf's biggest mistake is the way he used his bowling options. Ajmal didn't have a good day today but he was put on to bowl 49th over because Asif and Naveed had bowled their 10s. I think he should have given Malik a chance with ball for couple of overs seeing that Ajmal was getting smacked.

May be your players were still crying about IPL instead of concentrating on the match itself
