After all the kios Goher Mumtaz teamed up with Farhan and Shazi to create
a new JaL around us . After releasing few mp3z for fans they finally
decided to release their highly awaited album in the market .

I always believed on the theory which is "Who ever gives time to its album
comes out with good album " we have got list of examples infront of us
Junoon Inquilaab , Karavan Safar and Gardish , Najams Roop Nagar ,
Faakhir Aatish , Vital Signs Hum Tum and so on . Thats exactly what
happened with JaL debut album Aadat .

The first time i got my hands on JaL's Aadat . When i listened their
album for the first time i was thinking what the hell is this , Didnt
liked the album at all . Then few weeks later i decided to give it a
try to JaL album one more time and then slowly slowly it started to
grow on me . The first song i liked was "Dil Hare" and ever hit "Lamhey"
Then the next song which attracted me the most was Teri Yaad . I have to
salute Goher Mumtaz for creating such a beautiful song . Teri Yaad
probably the most strongest song in the album and It has the power
to make album sales better . its all depend if JaL makes the good
video of Teri Yaad . Then next song that i heard after Teri Yaad was
Aik Din Ayega . One thing i came to realized after listening to JaL
album that all the new songs that Goher and Atif Created after their breakup
i found Goher songs better . All the songs Atif made after the breakup
remains filler songs to me such as Gul Sunja , Mahive etc . JaL indeed
made one filler that i know and that is Manchala . i think the song
was made in a hurry . Moving to the next song Rangoon Mien . To be honest
Rangoon Mien was the first song that i heard from JaL band , it was
the unplugged version which i think still available on the net .
I dont know for what reason they didnt include this unplugged version
of Rangoon Mien which i think it could've been way better than
putting instrumental of Lamhey .

Panchi song is one of the catchiest song in the album .Good Acoustic
Riffs and good vocals by Goher Mumtaz . I would love to see the video
for this song .

The song Bikhra Hoon Mien was kind of re-make of Aadat . Bikhra Hoon Mien sounds good , there are many
people love this track and there are many who thinks Bikhra Hoon Mien
was just a filler track they did to complete the album .



In the end i would say JaL did pretty good job for their first album .
If you look at other bands debut album such as Fuzon Saagar . There
are only good 5 songs which are worth listening and their album
considered as one of the best album of 2003-04 . JaL debut album conatins
good tracks such as Dil Hare , Teri Yaad , Rangoon Mien , Lamhey , Aik Din Ayega
Panchi . To me if any album contains good 5 or 6 songs i consider that
album Good . so in my opinion JaL did an very good job . Lets see
what JaL got for us in the future .

i dont like the addat by jal...i like the one from addat...which is what made me listen to his other songs...or else before that i only liked other type of songs..not like those kinds

i luv that song..i think addat is one of the songs dat will be remembered for along time...band Jal n Atif tried to make same kindof song...but they failed...i dun like their in which they hav included aaaa from addat..cheap thing

Aadat by jal was a gr8 song... what are they up to now????????????

actually jal is a nice band .. .i think the only prob was tht the whole music covered their voice .. mayb if it was recorded better it would sound better , not that its not good now .. its awesome

The album no doubt is awesum. Esp. the tracks panchi, bikhra hon nd teri yaad re really Gud. I'll rate the album 9.5/10

i heard it will be released sumwhere in jan 2006...dunno if its a rumour or not

i can listen to every song on the (jal) album without skipping through songs
atif sucks! and goher is better-looking than aatif

jal's pretty good without atif too. ppl need to realize that atif has moved on and jal as an independent entity have lots to offer. farhan's voice grows on you, hes a different kind of singer from atif which makes the songs more subtle and melodic.

hey i love jals album, i quite like the bikra hoon mein version too!!! yeah i must say after listening to jals album atifs version of aadat is not that good.

i liked it...i'll give it 3 thumbs...but they should experiment a little try something different with at least one song.

i couldn't disagree more.. about the music offcourse lolz.. looks wise they can all rot in hell for all i care (cuz i m not a girl lolz)..

Atif definately has a better voice than Farhan..there is a different sound to his vocals.. That goher guy sucks..heard him sing a few times when he felt the need to butt-in while farhan was doing whatever is it that he does, lolz.

but i would admit that JAL have some good songs..like..bikhra hoon mein.. but when it comes to Aadat and Wo Lamhey..JAL should step aside and stop trying to bask in Atif's glory, however limited it is..

and if you want to talk about what going on right now with Atif, i think he'd better come up with a good album again for people to even download his songs, let alone buying his CD..

sorry sonia if i sound a bit rash...but this Atif vs. JAL thing has been dragged on too long, and i for one am sick of it..
