English Premier League Discussion Thread
Reigning Champs: Chelsea FC
Newly Promoted Teams: Albions, Newcastle, Blackpool
Alright. With the World Cup (almost) over, its time to look ahead to a new season of Premiership Alot of strong teams so It'll be really interesting to see which teams will end up finishing in Top 4. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Utd, Spurs, Villa. Alot of top teams with hopefully alot of competition.
Here's to Liverpool winning the title nd finally ending the drought

ahh finally, some REAL football!!!!
- no Vuvuzelas
- no muppets who only watch football once every four years and support Brazil
- actual football atmosphere
- transfer rumours
- manager altercations
- Match of the Day
- Relatively less shit referees than the WC (key word being relatively)
- better quality football than Algeria vs Slovenia!!
- no stupid flags on every car here in Canada (idiots)
- I'd rather now stream games and watch it on Sky Sports and hear the likes of Andy Gray etc than watch Canadian analysts who know fuck all about football
- most importantly..watching the team you REALLY LOVE
Bring it on..

I think they have star sports there and they will show the games there...besides if you have cable in Pakistan then you get tons of sports channels and I am sure they would show the games there on those (That's how it was when I was there in 08) not sure if that has changed..only problem is you need electricity to run your tv..so yeah

If you got cable in Pakistan, should not be a problem at all (bar electricity)..
I remember every trip of mine to Pakistan (or India), I caught every single United game while I was over there.. Coverage is awesome cause of StarSports/ESPNstar, Supersports etc etc..
My only other obstacle to watching games besides power outages was...my relatives failure to understand why I think its more than reasonable enough to miss some DOOR KAY RISHTEYDAAR's betay ki shaadi to stay at home and watch West Ham vs United.....
some people just don't get it..!!?

Lol, electricity is a major problem dude ROFL. Last I went was in 08 and even a few places in Lahore had massive power outages and that too for 10 - 12 hours per day at times lol.
And if you go out of Lahore (places like Gujrat, Jehlum and Sialkot etc) then God help you because you will only get electricity for 4-5 hours per day
Thank God the generators exist!
And I actually didn't mind missing the games when I was there lol..the whole reason I went was for cousins weddings and if I missed that for the games then wouldn't be much of a point spending all that money and just sitting there watching football LOL

yeah we've got cable and all that but I seriously don't remember being able to watch league games. Boring stuff like tennis, tour de france, even GOLF.. Sure. But not football? But I'm sure you people would know more about that then me. Maybe I just need to set these channels..
The electricity thing is a major problem though..

lol even with the generators, you wont be getting the actualy cable. I mean sure you would have ur tv on but there would be no cable, since the main source it comes from arent likely to use generators to get the cable going. So generators hardly help when it comes to watching cable tv when electricity is gone lol.
but if you have the classic old antenna like this one then yea
only problem being the only channel that shows up with that is PTV
