He will be able to talk to any club after December and be able to join them for free in June.
Every club knows he has only 1 year on his contract, and not only that, but that he has said he will NOT sign a new contract. That properly has screwed Arsenal. Not only to not sign, but to publicly state he will not sign as it really messes their hand and other clubs very well know they can't be bullied by Arsenal. Arsenal has to take whatever they can get for him now.

if i was wenger, i would rather sell him for free next year then sell him to another english club this year. he's only going to hurt himself by selling to another EPL team. but let's see what happens in the coming weeks. all i know is that this man is going to get booed out of the building next time he comes back to emirates, and well he should.

Just knew someone who's in the know..
Here's confirmation that United are interested from Fergie himself.

one question to arsenal fans regarding rvp (if any are left on this forum)
from what i've been reading online, only two options are being discussed regarding his future.
option 1- sell him this summer and cash in on him.
option 2- let him go on a free next summer.
but surely there is a 3rd option there that is not being discussed.
option 3- refuse to sell him this year and instead surround him with quality players, knowing that if he sees more ambition and arsenal win a trophy this year. he is likely to sign a new contract before summer 2013.
why is this not being discussed? he's said that money is not his motivating factor. and he turned down a very lucrative contract with arsenal, proving that it's not just about money with him. so you guys have bought giroud and poldi, just get some more depth in midfield and don't let rvp go. especially not to city or united like it's being discussed, that's just stupid. you guys have for years spoken about the fact that you are a financially sound club, you don't need money. well if you are as financially secure as you claim, then you won't sell your most prized possession and keep him with the hopes that by winning something this year, you'll convince him to stay for the long term. arsenal football club does not need money, it needs trophies, and you are much more likely to win them with rvp in your squad than without.
just want to know whats so ridiculous about this notion, and why nobody is discussing this in the media whatsoever?

credit to zain for posting this on facebook. totally agree with the sentiments expressed here! england manager after england manager failed to understand the value of paul scholes, and instead kept going with the failed lampard/gerrard formula over and over again. the results are there for all to see. scholes is a legend, and easily the most technically gifted player england has produced in a damn long time, maybe even ever. its just that poise and finesse are not valued in england the way they are in the continent.

The English national team and the FA just doesn't understand the importance of some players. Unless they get their heads out of their ass and figure out that just dumping big lumpy long ball players in central midfield is NOT the key to success, they won't get anywhere.
Scott Parker and James Milner, over Scholes and Carrick..
Do I need to say more?

to be fair zain, carrick belongs in the same line as milner and parker. might be a little more technically gifted than the former two, but certainly does not deserve to be spoken of in the same breath as scholes. england needs more technical and creative midfielders. i think jack wilshire is going to be huge for england in the future, if he can stay fit. he reminds me a lot of a young paul scholes, minus the crazy tackling lol!

I think Carrick is vastly underrated...
He's got a great eye for a pass and his cross field balls to the wings as well as his reading of the game when it comes to interceptions in the center of the park is amazing.
Quality defensive midfielder....
Obviously not like Scholes at all. I didn't mean that. I just meant he would be way ahead of Milner and Parker in the pecking order.
His range of passing, reading of the game is much better than them both...

hehe...yeah..have a few contacts who are usually very reliable when it comes to things United..
Thing is, often I may know stuff about transfers or hear of stuff weeks in advance of them being reported in the media, issue is though that often cannot reveal some of that as I'm not privy to do so as I'm told in confidence about these things.
Course I was totally off about the price!
Didn't think we'd shell out that much for an injury prone 30 yr old...

"We were the better football team, they had eight shots on target and De Gea did very well for us in that way," he told MUTV.
"But we had the possession and made some great openings without actually finishing it. That was the only difference. These shots on targets the goalkeeper did really well.
"Other than that we played good football, good combination play, on another day we would have won the match." -SAF

i'm not sure what he's getting at hear. time and again, i've heard fans and managers (esp of english teams) talking about how the better team is the one that wins the game. this might be because i follow barca and hardly anyone can keep more possession than us, but still. when a team plays barca on the counter and then wins because they had 2 shots and 20% possession, but defended like beasts and scored on the counter, that team is lauded as being the "better team" because they won. i've heard SAF say the same thing about his team, like when barca played united in 08 and scholes scored but barca dominated the entire game. but so what's all this now that he's saying united were the better team, even though everton hit the post twice and forced many saves from de gea. on top of that united CBs were awful. howard barely had anything to do all game, so mr alex, how exactly were united the better team, despite losing the game, fewer shots, fewer shots on goal, and forcing fewer saves from the opposition keeper? zain help me out here.

Man U won 3-2 against Chelsea
Though I favor Man U but there were just disastrous calls. So much for Alex Ferguson crying before the game about contentious refereeing decision in the past. Two men sent off and an offside call missed on winning goal. Just not what you wanna watch. With all those favored referee calls it felt like I was watching Barca game.
