Like before all major tournaments, there is always a controversy involving the English team that they use as an excuse when they fail miserably on the national stage. This year, it is this whole john terry saga that is going on. today, england coach fabio capello has resigned because of it. it's truly laughable that they hired someone to take the reigns and guide england to glory, and now because of this he is gone a few months before the tournament starts. oh well, it will be even more hilarious when england crashes and burns like they always do, preferably during a penalty shoot out vs portugal

prob with italy is that they are still depending on the same players that they were depending on back in euro 2004. del piero, pirlo, gattuso, nesta, toni, de rossi, etc. they have struggled to produce good young talent, and that is why they are struggling right now. let's see though, italy and france had a TERRIBLE world cup so they will definitely feel like they have a point to prove.

you know what I love about the Euros....
There's not a single group, not a single group which one can easily predict!
Going to be brilliantly exciting..
I hope the Germans win it, but their group is extremely tough itself!
Hope England and France get knocked out ASAP..can't stand either of those teams....
Teams who I want to do well, or even go all the way and win it...Germany (most realistic), Croatia and Greece..
Sad that Turkey aren't there...my fav international team..

Sweden shud win, after all we got world nr1 player Zlatan and many new talented youngsters like elm..larrson etc... my 2nd team is portugal coz my fav players like nani and ronaldo and my 3rd team is england bcos of my players from manunited willl be playing for england.. so ill be happy if one of these 3 teams wins

also something to think about regarding spain's chances of winning.
no team IN THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL has won the euros, worldcup, and next euros. spain would be the first team to do it, having won euro 08, world cup 10, and now possibly euro 12. they certainly have the players to do it, but germany, italy, and others won't make it easy.

germany probably would give em a run for their money but i still think spain will edge..their depth is ridiculous...i mean david silva and juan mata along with fabregas are fighting for one spot!!!....my word.
