International Football Discussion Thread

So lots of international friendlies and qualification matches being played this week.

Right now, Brazil is facing off against Bosnia in what should be a great game. A very strong team picked by Brazil which is interesting, nice mix between youth and experience.

Julio Cesar; Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo; Sandro, Fernandinho, Hernanes; Ronaldinho, Leandro Damiao, Neymar.

nice to see ronaldinho back in international football!! few people bring such joy to the game as good ol ronnie!

Good thread. Aren't the matches just "friendly", so far I know there is one match being played in copenhagen, but ppl are not showing that much interest. They are saying not so many tickets sold.

Cause no one really cares much about international football if they're not part of actual tournaments like the World Cup/Euros/Copa America etc..

sometimes the qualifiers are watchable for what's at stake, but seriously, no one really cares much about international football outside of international tournaments..

I dont think anyone take international football seriously

most of them just watch it for the underdog team to win especially in world cup and stuff

very very very important world cup qualifying game today.

australia vs. saudi arabia. if the saudis lose this game and oman wins their game against bottom placed thailand, saudi is out of the world cup 2014 qualifying. saudis either have to beat australia or hope that thailand can beat oman. i hope the saudis can pull it off and move onto the next round of qualifying - even though they are awful at world cups i lived there for a long time so have to support my green falcons! yallah yasser al qahtani!

and yes even though people do not take friendlies seriously, but sometimes there are games that you just have to watch. for example tomorrow england is playing holland and france is playing germany. those are HUGE games, whether they are friendlies or not, and all teams will want to win before going into the euros to prove a point.

I don't think anyone in the football world is even bothered about the friendlies besides the managers of the teams for fitness and trying out youngsters/different tactics , and the FAs to try and get gate receipts..
