yeah the thing is that these conditions are very rare, so it is not recommended for everyone to go out and get tested. it's just been a freaky year that so many athletes have had this problem. i know players get ekgs all the time, most big teams perform ekgs on players during the preseason. that's a pretty good test for detecting a large heart, but an echo would be a better test for it so i wouldn't be surprised if some of the bigger clubs started including this in their preseason routines.
