i was just hearing this speech ... so thought abt sharing this.... this is roughly what the speaker [a senior executive of tanzeem e islami] said:

one who prays alot and worships alot

one who asks for forgiveness alot

one who thanks God alot of what He has given him/her, also appreciates of what He has give oneself

one who does alot rukos

and one who does sujood, meaning not only he does farz salat but also who does alot of naafil prayers

one who keeps away from temptations of this world

also he added:

one who tries to improve the society by finishing bad deeds in the world around him
one who spreads the word of Allah to people

i hope i have not missed something InshaAllah.. May Allah guide us all
And Allah alone knows best...

I hope that this speech is for inspiration only. Thats Good.
Other wise the 'main constant pillars of Islam revolves around the prayers to 'Allah swt'
ask for his forgivness and seek his blessings in all you have or do.

Otherwise I don't give a crap about what the 'Tanzeem President' say. specially with a political backdrop.

bro, this wasnt just said out of the blue. the speech was backed by Quranic verses n Hadith of the Prophet (PBUH). n no one's arguing abt the basics of the religion. We all know Islam has five pillars. If u follow them u become a "Muslim". The person, Dr. Israr Ahmed, was talking abt the difference between a Muslim and a Moumin. Moumin is like the next level of religious and spiritual adherence and compliance.

Warna tu, we all r Muslims. but being a Moumin is like reaching another level. N this party, "tanzeem-e-Islami" has nothing political abt it. its just an organization for the spread of the Deen. so make sure u know wat ure talkin abt.

ya the pillars r obviosly there. they r the basics. this is in addition to that. u can say by following the pillars u become a muslim but by following the above points u become a "good Muslim", according to the speech.

thanks a lot for sharing buddy......... i appreciate that..... yaar the thing is that we are Muslims by birth we are not Muslims bcoz it was our choice........ we have to get that knowledge ........ when i came to Canada my knowledge was fairly limited and depended upon my Islamiat Teacher and my mom and dad........

but then when i see Muslims here Alhamdulillah un ko dekh kar dil bohut khush hotta hai......coz un se baat kar ke un se ideas share kar ke app ko itnnaaaa acha lagta hai coz they tell u keh hamara religion kia kehta hai......

in my university there are sooooo many PHD doctors and every now and then apart from our regular technical gupshup koi na koi Musalmanon ki baat banda seekh he letta hai.... i believe they have helped me a lot in teaching me the attributes of a momin.....
