On a more serious note rizmusiccanada why we Pick and choose. I don't think that anywhere in Islam it is said that here Is Most Important and here is Least Important and you can leave these last 30 less important ones and take these top 10 % and if you can't do 10% then take top 5%.

My Point being Not celebrating New Year is the answer or make any one any different. For e.g: May be instead of telling 10 lies a day if I only 5 lies a day it be better then not celebrating New Year ...
