Bin Laden threatens EU over cartoon

Cairo: A new audio recording purportedly to be from Al Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden criticized the publication of a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammad, and threatened the European Union with a strong reaction.

Last month Danish newspapers re-printed one of 12 cartoons that angered many Muslims around world when they were first published in 2005.

Bin Laden said the publishing of the cartoon was part of a crusade involving Pope Benedict XVI.

The recording appeared on a militant web site that has carried Al Qaida recordings in the past. It comes on the fifth anniversary of the US-led invasion of Iraq.

If he meant he will attack european forces on Afghanistan or Iraq soil thats OK but no civilian blood in europe should pay the price.

U.S is just portraying his name as if hes some sort of bogeyman. although, its an incredible strategy to invade countries, take over oil industry and mentally depress people. every now and than when things started to cool down a new video pops up of him warning Americans. elite american forces chasing after caveman for what about 8 years? just priceless!

if it is all made up by the USA as you seem to suggest, then how come the video is released by the same guys who show beheaded US troops, attack on their soldiers etc.. ?

Danish ppl made the cartoons after the cruel and false demonstration of islam by Usama bin ladin. lol so the main reason for makin the cartoons is threatening them again to show that wat a peaceful religion islam is.
