I was going through a Camaro forum and their was a question posted by someone regarding why one of the Camaro models (ZL1 ) isn't included in the military/army discount's ?
And from that thread I found out that every single army/military personal is offered 10% discount on almost everything if they have their id. Even on cars.


So I just wanted to know if such a thing exists in Pakistan ?I know for one in Saudi Arabia we have such special offers and all for army/military/navy people. But I don't know about Pakistan, so any info will be great !

I am sure they don't pay any toll tax over the roads and bridges. Travelled with my father in law several times and there is a secret code (sign/gesture) that they have to make to let the attendants know if the army officers are in civilian dress. Rest, I am not sure but won't be surprised to know if they get discounts. Afsar Shahi is mental disease that has been injected in the blood by the British rule.

well thats a good thing to know, cuz I really think that our soilders are the ones who deserve such perks. I mean they spend their eids, ramadans etc away from families protecting the others! This is the least our country can do for them.

If you ever by any chance visit a forum where a Us Army personal posts a single comment, atleast the next 20-30 comments will be jsut thanking him for his services. And I really fail to see this in Pakistan.

US soldiers don't get preferential treatment be it not paying tolls or getting ahead in a line unless someone is doing it out of courtesy.

Btw, where do we stop? Cops and firemen put their lives on the line as well, so should they get perks as well?

i think they get their stuff on standardized rates which are obviously lower then the rest of the general public!
but that is just a perk of the job just like some jobs offer free medical insurance etc!
one of the perks of being in the army is that. but as far as them not paying taxes i highly doubt that, every big organisation in pakistan does deduct taxes from pay slips, then if they pay it forward or not is up for debate!
