Fed up with the injustice, a Hindu rape survivor has warned she will commit suicide by setting herself on fire outside the Supreme Court building.
The married woman was allegedly gang-raped by influential men of the Allah Rakhio Mahar village. The family went to the police, who refused to register the case against the suspects.
When they filed a complaint in a Khaipur court, the Bheels were beaten and forced to flee their homes.
Talking to the press outside the sessions court building on Monday, the woman said that police were not taking action against the culprits as they supported the criminals. “I lost my honour and shelter as well, but the law isn’t coming to help me,” she complained. “I fear they will kill my husband and other family members.” The woman said that the elders were trying to pressure the family into talks with her rapists. “I’ll even go to the Supreme Court for justice and will commit self-immolation if the culprits are not arrested,” she warned.

Just pure pathetic. I think in such cases, they shouldn't even involve relegion. Doens't matter if she is a muslim, hindu, atheist etc. Someone raped her, Hang them.

lets just keep it simple, someone rapes a girl no cases neccassary do a bit of investigation and through the use of modern advances in science it won't take long to prove who is the rapist and simply as soon as it becomes positive the first cop to see that guy. Shoot the f***er.

Exactly, thats the first thing that caught my eye. HINDU rape survivor, I mean thats totally irrelevant. These things should be treated on Humanity basis not religion. I don't think ANY religion allows rape!

it's not irrelevant considering how Hindus are targeted in Pakistan.

Of course religion is going to be mentioned when it's likely a primary motive in the crime... when 20 shias are pulled off a bus and killed why won't you mention that they are shias?

In a country where religious minorities are specific targets these facts become relevant.

Does statutory rape fall under your definition of rape?

If religion is required to be mentioned for everything else in Pakistan then why not use it here. I mean the only language Pakistanis understand is religion and all the brain washing is done using religion as a tool. But when its mentioned in such news it disturbs many.

Pakistan is a strange strange country

and as a matter of fact, the people are enticed based on the established and sad fact that if somebody is not Muslim he/she can be looted, humiliated or even killed
