Not that I am a fan of Musharraf but ...

was going thru some of the archives and found that perhaps Musharraf was on of the few top Pakistani official who bravely said it out in the open and on their face.

Off topic but everytime I look at him ...or hear him speak............I think of Zadari!
And I think to myself, heck even if he was bad...I would still pick him to lead Pakistan over Zadari any day of the week!!

Its really shameful when someone comes and tells you that your president was in jail....!
And Its really shameful when you president appears on Tv looking like a total ass!
For gods sake you are the president of Pakistan not uganda! As soon as he opens his mouth you can see directly in his bitch of a uneducated corrupt soul!

considering all the progress he made, he's cream of the crop when it comes to Pakistani leaders. He had innumerable flaws but he was a good thing to happen to pakistan.

Exactly, He wasn't perfect no one is ! But atleast he did Something good for Pakistan!!! People who keep opposing him, I would like to ask them what good has happened for Pakistan ever since he left? Who were they supporting to oppose him? Or were they just opposing just for the sake of opposing ?

First question: His opponents has so far 'no answer' to this question

Second question: Taliban

Btw, how do you reconcile being a supporter of imran with being a supporter of musharraf, adil? It is not like musharraf would work under imran or vice versa?

i think musharraf would be a better leader for pakistan than imran in 2013, but since he is out of the picture, imran wins my support by default for not being fazl-ur-rahman, altaf hussain, zardari, or nawaz sharrif. i dont really care about pti policies i support them by default because of how awful the remaining options are.

I see what you're thinking, but I'd suggest you to read on his policies before giving all out support. He's every bit leaning towards what you and I have strongly spoken against so far. I don't know how good of a change that will be. I don't want him to come and facilitate Mullahs to take over.

there is no choice, i'd rather take a chance on imran than vote for the #@%$#@%@ that have brought the country to its knees. imran has a clean record and a big heart, thats more than anyone else and thats good enough for me.

Just the thought of having him as a president is HILLARIOUS!
Imagine him going to a International event dressed up like he usually is and speaking english in that accent!

Well that's where the dilemma is. Should I stand by my principles, or should I be willing to sacrifice them under current situation. I am not the best at sacrificing what I believe in and what I speak for, but then I see where Pakistan stands today and see little hope (none perhaps other than may be IK). If I'll be speaking for same violations of minority rights, human rights, spread of extremism and all other social issues under IK then what good it is there to support him. There is certainly no guarantee of improvement on these issues under IK (not as far as reading his policy statements). Clean record and clean heart isn't enough here, perhaps I am looking more for a willingness to reconcile and unite the divided nation under the original principles of foundation of Pakistan. But will see, as the election drew close I hope to see better commitment from IK.
