Well pretty much I guess cause of my name/religion and where all I have been..
I mean I do have multiple visits to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia ...so that might explain it..

And it's not just coming in, I have to get a special stamp before I can exit the country as well which is a huge pain in the butt. Honestly, they make you feel like criminals just because of the words on the cover of your passport. Absolute bollocks of a policy. Someone kindly inform them that the bad guys don't give a damn about politely getting departure stamps or sitting quitely for 6 hours at immigration. This policy focuses on all the wrong people.

Lol, ive traveled a lot of times to US and they grill u with stupid questions and eye you as if you're some criminal :S Alhmdulilah , we havent faced anything as bad *except this time when we decided to move completely, when we were like interrogated for 5 hours :S * but the people who have gone through , come out shaking with anger and its pitiful. When I went to canada it was quite the opposite, the woman was so nice and all that. Strict but NICE. It doesnt happen here

Yeah...that's being happening lately. One of my cousin was denied three times for student visa, he was applying for it to apply for residency. However, his brother got it much easily, totally no hassle, he was an engineering student applying for masters. I don't know what their policies are but in a way they are right. I can see it from their perspective, that they're obliged to do everything to make sure the safety of the people here. Even if it takes this kind of treatment. I myself never got into any problems.

1.) your cousin was applying for residency with a student visa? you do realize that residency is a job right, you need a work visa (either J1 or H1B) in order to start your residency? student visas are for medical school and prior, not for residency. i think you just mistyped, but if indeed he was applying for a student visa to start residency, then no wonder he got denied 3 times.
2.) they are obligated to ensure the safety of their citizens, but they don't have to treat people like criminals. my little brother was supposed to start his first year of medical school in the US at the end of july...and he's still waiting for the US embassy in london to return his passport. he's had to defer a year because of this nonsense. i mean this has nothing to do with ensuring safety of anyone, they just see "government of pakistan" stamped on the passport and they want to mess with you. it's one thing if you're applying for your first visa or if you've been out of the US for a while. but man, why does it take you 4 months to stamp a visa when someone's just changing schools and hasn't taken any time off??

Actually this is where I have to question the process itself which is followed by the law enforcing authorities.
Guy A (wearing a white robe, has a long beard with a rosary in his hands) checks-in at the airport. He goes thru the security clearance where he is scanned and strip searched and whatever, and he fully cooperates with the authorities as a good citizen.
All cleared, he gets on the plane and just before the flight takes off .. Guy B on the same plane does not feel safe traveling with guy A, he speaks to the air hostess and security is called. Guy A is taken off the plane ... WHY ?????
Ideally, the airport security should tell the guy B, "Hey, we have thoroughly checked Guy A and he is all clear, now if YOU don't wanna travel with him YOU get off the plane.... why the F Guy A has to be taken off ???? I don't understand this ???

because this is america, land of the free, home of the fear-mongerers. if the airlines pull guy B off the flight, he'll end up on fox news, the airline will get maligned and eventually sued, and then it'll turn into a PR nightmare. unfortunately these are the times we live in. there is too much hysteria and fear-mongering going in the US, and too little tolerance and respect.
