you guys can waste your lives fighting about how different everyone is. at the end of the day, any 2 people in this world have 99.9% identical DNA, let alone an indian and a pakistani. may Allah help you all understand that life is short, too short for hating and fighting and crying about "aman ki asha" in every single post regardless of what the topic may be.

This topic wasn't directly related to it but I do agree this aman ki asha is useless when looking at it practically.
I will quote Musharraf (for the misfortune of some) when he replied back to a question about israel and palestine that the reason there isn't progress is due to the fact that there is no give and take which has to happen in negotiations. He didn't say it in kashmir since perhaps he was negotiating but what good are negotiations if pakistan must do everything and india doesn't even accept kashmir is disputed? They still call it akhand bharat so what of any self determination?

now now Adil, don't be silly...
how can you not see that you and I are so so different from each other. Besides, as an Indian, I'm yours and the majority of this forum's 'ideological enemy' as majbooristani so often likes to use the term..

yaar,
yehi tho masla hai, I've got no problems with people detesting the politicians of each other's countries or their own for obvious reasons..
but its when that hatred starts to stem towards or is directed at the generic public within each others countries, and the whole Indians are XXXX, Pakistanis are XXXX, that's what really gets on me nerves.

I don't know how is it among indians, but from what I have seen is that they really don't question their govt like on kashmir unlike pakistanis would though being desis, nothing good of it has come out of it!
And I have seen different types ranging from minding their own business telugu speakers to a mahrashtra / gujrati talking to me about kashmiri terrorism (said some weird sanskrit / gujrati? word for it) and how muslims are terrorists...

^ yeah thats because there are morons called politicians on both sides of the border who benifit financially and politically by turning the masses against india or pakistan. conflict sells, peace and stability does not. that's why the media on both sides like to play up differences, that's why the politicians like to tow a strict line and sway the masses in one direction. the great misfortune for the subcontinent is that there is no $$$$$$$$ in promoting peace and stability, neither the media nor the politcians, the two forces that control public opinion, are interested in this. and when there is this symbolic gesture called "aman ki asha" everyone thinks its a big joke and not taken seriously. so how can there be any breakthrough when conflict is so profitable for both india and pakistan and there is no realization that BOTH COUNTRIES are stronger as allies rather than as foes.
