aright...can someone write out teh translation to this? what problem do they have with the movie?

for once we had a pakistani movie where the actress's boobs are NOT spilling out and they had to choose THIS one to fatwa-fye?

you are not missing much, its the same old stuff. if these mullahs could they would have banned everything. There already are fatwas against Coca cola, cricket, soccer, music, painting now add one more to the list fatwa against "Khuda ke Liye". Though there already is a fatwa against watching movies, so I dont know is it fatwa square for this one lolz

Was a fatwa issued against the people who raped Mukhtaran Mai or many others like her. Was a fatwa issued in favor of polio drops or education of girls? or other things common people deal with on a daily basis?

بالکل صحیح، اسلام ان مولوی صاحبان کی جاگیر بالکل نہیں، بلکہ یہ تو اللہ تعالیٰ کا عطا کردہ، اُس کا پسند کیا ہوا دین ہے جو ہمارے پیارے نبی اکرم (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کی نسبت سے ہم تک پہنچا ہے۔ ایک مکمل رہنمائی ہے پوری انسانیت کیلئے ہر ایک فرد کیلئے لیکن افسوس کہ آج ایک طرف تو غیر مسلم اس کو پڑھ کر مسلمان ہوتے چلے جا رہے ہیں اور دوسری طرف پیدائشی مسلمان اس سو دور ہوتے چلے جا رہے ہیں۔ یہی تو وجہ ہے کہ آج کا مسلمان بڑے فخر سے اپنے آپ کو مسلمان کہتا ہے لیکن اسے اسلام کی الف، ب۔۔ بھی نہیں آتی اسی وجہ سے تو اسے ان فتووں کی سمجھ نہیں آتی کہ آیا کہ یہ مولوی حضرات اپنی طرف سے فتوے دیتے ہیں یا قرآج و حدیث سے۔ مثال کے طور پر بخاری شریف کی ایک حدیث سے صاف ظاہر ہے کہ اسلام میں موسیقی، گان ابجانا، تصویر بنانا حرام ہے، تو حرام ہے کوئی مسلمان اس بات کو جھٹلا نہیں سکتا۔ یہ بات تو قرآن و حدیث میں لکھی ہے لیکن آج کا مسلمان اپنی اَنا میں آ کر اس کو بھی جائز قرار دے گا۔ تو اسلام کو اپنی جاگیر کس نے بنایا ہوا ہے مولویوں* نے یا اُن لوگوں* نے جنہوں* نے قرآن و حدیث کو کبھی کھول کے دیکھا ہی نہیں۔ خدارا۔۔۔۔۔۔۔کچھ تو سوچئے۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ اگر اسلام پر عمل کرنے والے گندے ہو گئے ہیں تو (معاذ اللہ) اسلام غلط نہیں ہو گیا ہے۔
اگر کوئی شخص مسلمان ہوتے ہوئے لاعلمی میں ایک لفظ بھی کفریہ اپنی زبان سے ادا کرے تو ممکن ہے کہ وہ دائرہ اسلام سے خارج ہو جائے۔ بس یہی غلطی ہو گئی تھی شعیب منصور صاحب سے۔ ذرا غور سے پڑھئے اوپر اُن کے بولے ہوئے الفاظ۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔۔

whate did shoaib mansoor said which made him kafir?...
He said that, " I cant believe that Allah will hate those beutiful things which he bestowed, i.e. music and paintings."...This is not kufr my dear.
It is well known thing that everything created by Allah is not bad in itself....that's why everything say Tasbeeh...The good and evil are relative things....some time a good become evil from a certain point of view and some time a bad become good from a certain point.
Our elders and soofiya-e-kiram taught us that being a muslim we should hate the kufr and the sins but not the kafirs and the sinners....
Allah created everything, if he hates the pig than he would never create it.
If someone says that Allah does not hate music and paintings, he is not kafir just for this sentence....music is allowed with some conditions, and not allowed due to some other conditions, same for paintings.
Let me quote an interesting thing from Molana Ashraf Ali Thanawi (A prominent figure from the same Deoband school of thought)...In his book Tarbiat-us-Salik, one of his mereeds wrote him about his state that:
Mureed : " Huzoor, nowadays i am in a very strange state, I dont hate anything for itself, i feel love for everything, when i see a pig or dog i want to kiss them because they are created by my Allah. "
Answer (by Molana Ashraf Ali Thanwi) : " Mubarak ho, this is very nice and blessed state. "

Give me one verse of Quran, where music has been rendered Haram!!!!! Just one verse!!!

i saw parts of that alim online interview and i found aamir liaquat slightly partial on the issue.

if anybody caught the latest episode of ALIF, you might find that more useful than the Aalim Online discussion. Alif had a more mature set of participants and there was less emotionalizing of the issue of legitimacy of music and more substantive discussion with strong arguments from both sides.
